SUNY STANLEY S. LITOW P-TECH SCHOLARSHIP

Thanks to a generous donation from the IBM Corporation, the SUNY Impact Foundation has created the Stanley S. Litow P-TECH Scholarship Fund. Scholarship awards may be given to P-TECH students graduating in the 2022-2023 academic year with their associates of science or associates of applied science degree (AS or AAS). Applicants must intend to continue their education as a full-time student at a four-year SUNY institution in Fall 2023.
Eligibility requirements:

1. Applicant must be a current P-TECH 9-14 Model School student in their graduation year with the intent to matriculate as a full-time student to a four-year SUNY institution in the fall of that same calendar year;
2. Applicant must graduate from their P-TECH school with an associates of science or associates of applied science degree (AS or AAS).

Applicants must submit:

1. A completed scholarship application;
2. One letter of recommendation from a school principal, guidance counselor, or teacher (emailed to Marianne.Hassan@suny.edu);
3. Official academic transcript mailed or emailed by the applicant’s P-TECH school (emailed to Marianne.Hassan@suny.edu).

Award Process:

o All eligible applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by March 17, 2023.
o Award decisions will be announced on or before April 30, 2023.
o The SUNY Impact Foundation will award scholarships of up to $500 per student administered through the financial aid office at the recipient’s four-year SUNY institution of attendance.
o Awards may not be used for tuition. Awards may be used to assist with room and board, fees, and other costs of attendance, such as books and supplies. The SUNY Impact Foundation encourages all applicants to apply for financial aid to assist with tuition.
